Position Overview

Provides general information and referral services to clients
Develops, plans, and leads groups of a less complex nature in response to community and client
need, in consultation with centre social workers

Required Skills and Experience:
Certificate IV in Community Services, Cert III in Disability are preferred but not essential
First Aid Certificate
Ability to develop positive relationships with clients and to support their individual care plans as appropriate
Experience working with frail aged, or at risk aged and younger people with a disability
Strong interpersonal and human relationship skills while being attentive to the needs of others
Quick-thinking ability to problem solve and adapt and work effectively in a variety of settings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly developed innovative and creative thinking abilities, problem solving abilities, compassion, empathy, and professionalism
