My client is a high profile financial services brand with a well established and rapidly growing customer analytics function. With a number of key strategic initiatives to be delivered two Senior Manager level positions have been released to the market. As a result we are currently looking for an experienced Customer Insights and Statistical Modelling Manager to join the business, drive the analytics roadmap and manage a team of experienced marketing analytics professionals leveraging a cutting edge SAS technical platform.

The responsibilities of the role will cover

– Develop and grow key relationships with senior stakeholders across marketing and product teams, developing an understanding of, and advising around, corporate growth strategy, planning against key deliverables and milestones.
– Provide thought leadership and strategic planning around the Customer Analytics roadmap, advising and prioritising key initiatives to improve customer acquisition, retention and overall value (i.e. Customer Lifetime Value, Next Best Actions, NPS/Customer Experience etc).
– Manage and mentor a team of Customer Insights and Modelling specialist taking full responsibility across all line management duties (i.e recruitment/induction, training/mentoring, development, retention etc).
– Ensure analytical best practices are worked towards with a major focus on analysing customer activity, this may include statistical/propensity modelling, segmentation, customer insights, customer experience (NPS), campaign analytics (inc control groups, experimental design and PIRs)
– Monitor and maximise the overall marketing campaign portfolio performance.

The successful applicant will come from a proven background managing analytically minded professionals in a data driven environment, where the focus has been to deliver strategic insights from large amounts of data. You will be able to demonstrate:

– Team management experience, that includes leading and developing strategic growth plans, technical infrastructure development projects, team growth and recruitment plans among additional team leading and management responsibilities
– Excellent stakeholder engagement experience with the ability to build strong relationships with senior directors across the business in a fast past environment.
– Experience working in a customer/marketing analytics best practice environment leveraging analytically techniques and concepts that may include but not limited to, Propensity Modelling (Churn/Acquisition/Cross Sell/Up Sell), Segmentation Analysis, Pricing Optimisation, Customer Lifetime Value Analysis, Next Best Offer Analysis, Significance Testing, Decision Trees, Neural Networks
– Technically strong with skills in SAS (SAS Base, SAS Macro, SAS E-Miner) and some of the following SQL (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server etc), SPSS (SPSS Clementine, SPSS Modeller), Excel/Access/VBA, PowerPoint, R, Tableau, Qlikview etc

This is a newly created strategic role at SiteMinder, which has an integral part to play in how we grow and scale the business. A unique opportunity for a Financial Planning Specialist to really make an impact on a global SaaS business.

The FP&A Specialist will own business modelling and forecasting, monthly variance analysis, financial planning process and tools. They will partner with functional leaders, to build and manage all aspects of budgeting and planning (forecast, budget and strategic plan) and prepare budget Vs actual business reviews.

A large part of this role will be to support strategic initiatives and key decisions through data driven analysis e.g. cohort analysis, sensitivity analysis. They will support business partners in decision making and managing performance and resources to ensure SiteMinder remains on the path to success.

What you bring to the table:

– World class financial services experience, working in investment banking, management consulting or private equity (this is not an accounting role)
– Financial Planning and Analysis experience with exposure to key financial management processes at a high growth, scaling company
– A passion for SaaS, including up to date knowledge of key trends and best practice
– The ability to build integrated financial models (using Excel and/or other planning applications)
– Strong economics and business sense with an eye for detail in operational and financial analysis and reporting
– A people person, with the ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships
– Thrives in a fast paced, unstructured environment.

About the role
To conduct interviews, make enquiries, give advice and provide recommendations in relation to customer requirements, objectives and borrowing needs. To maintain up to date knowledge of lender products, pricing and credit policy as well as loan application lodgement, approval and settlement processes. To deliver exceptional end to end digital home loan service to customers resulting in achievement of loan settlement and customer service targets for both your individual role, your team and other teams.

Skills & experience
You need to have:

– Proven communication, presentation and influencing skills;
– Committed to outcomes that are NCCP compliant and meet or exceed management expectations;
– Obsessed about providing exceptional customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations;
– Self-starter who is familiar with working in dynamic environments;
– Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40811 or FNS40815); and
– Minimum 2 years directly advising potential borrowers in relation to a panel of lenders.

It would be great if you had:

– Experience leading a team, and managing resources in a dynamic environment;
– Experience working for an Australian home loan lender; and
– Understanding of Australian and international digital business models and the applicability of internet trends to digital businesses.
