Due to high levels of growth within the company a new position for a Construction Manager has been made in order to successfully complete major projects in the Canberra area.

Your new role
Leading from the front line you will be identified as an expert in your field amongst your peers whilst working closely alongside the Director assessing the ability of each new project. Throughout construction you will be designing and implementing Project Management systems, ensuring they are compliant with Occupational Health and Safety legislation. You will ensure all deadlines are met, managing a vast construction team consisting of Site/project Engineers, Site Managers and Safety Officers who will be reporting to you directly. You will be overseeing the compliance of health and safety amongst all Contractors while driving Project and Site Managers to perform to the highest of their abilities. Keeping an eye on commercial and operational perspective budgets is a must, you will be presenting financial reports for project budget estimates.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will be degree qualified or have 5+ years of senior management within the construction industry, with sound knowledge of the complete construction process associated with developments. You will have exceptional communication skills, a natural born leader who has a hands-on approach. You will have a track record of handling stakeholders and strong problem solving skills. Previous references required.

Grounds Maintenance

Your new company
This local government department is responsible for the continued upkeep and maintenance of local landscapes, dry lands and ovals, as well as public facilities and amenities. Hays is seeking experienced individuals to join the department in an ongoing contract capacity.

Your new role
Your new role will see you utilise your experience in grounds maintenance and continue to develop and improve the grasslands and facilities in the area. This role will include mowing, brush cutting, litter picking, driving and various other activities.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will need to be driven individual, willing to work full weeks in an ongoing capacity. You will also need:

– White Card and Asbestos Awareness
– Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
– Sharps Ticket
– MR Licence (desirable)
– Other High-Risk Licences
