The Role

With a large volume of work currently underway, and more projects being constantly awarded, additional resources are required. With a constant eye out for quality drafters, there is also the realistic possibility that the role could turn into a permanent position if you so wish. However, if you prefer contracting then this will be a long-term appointment which could run and run.

The Responsibilities

You will be required to work across a number of different building structures; including residential, commercial and industrial. You will take ownership of your projects and will be encouraged to show initiative when it comes to assisting the engineers. This is a rewarding role and you will report into high-profile names within the industry.

The Requirements

As the successful applicant, you will be able to demonstrate:

– Strong practical experience of utilising Revit on building structure projects
– A working history within design consultancies
– Previous Australian experience working for a design consultancy
– The ability to commence a contract role at short notice
– Full working rights within Australia
– Due to the immediate nature of the role, only those candidates currently residing in Australia will be considered for this role

A tier one electrical contractor has recently picked up a large project in Sydney CBD. Typically they work across the commercial construction, health care and data centre markets.

This project is due to kick off at the end of the month and is due to last about 12 months.

The Role

You will be working alongside the project team in the head office and then on-site, producing Drawings and Documentation with Revit MEP. You will report directly to the BIM manager and have lots of support but you will need to be able to work autonomously. Applicants with contractor experience is a preference however strong consultancy experience will also be considered.

In order to be successful you will need the following skills:

– At least 7 years building services experience
– A minimum 3 years using Revit MEP
– Experience in coordination and clash detection with Navisworks
– Produce high quality installation standard drawings
– Experience working in an onsite position
