Represent the buying office of a sizeable retailer, boasting a portfolio of over 3,000 stores in 6 countries; this is a genuine career opportunity to join the business locally as a Sourcing Specialist.

As a result of internal growth and promotion, a role has become available. As Sourcing Specialist you will report to the Director of sourcing and your responsibilities will include but not be limited to –

– Plan activities around the sourcing unit on the basis of commercial and development strategies
– Supporting the buying team with negotiation ensuring best price outcome, analysis of market, products, price and sales data to relevant business units
– Reporting and making recommendations on various categories
– Liaise with Vendors and management to ensure relationships are retained and developed
– Perform site checks to ensure that the products compliance and standards are met according to Australian Standards/Cargo Security Programs.
– Coordinate and attend meetings and office visits for vendors and agents both locally and internationally

Ideally you will have;

– Industry experience and ready for your ‘next step’ role
– Available to travel, locally and internationally
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Intermediate MS Office skills
– Understanding of Australian, local and International standards – compliance, safety and packaging
– Degree Qualification in a relevant field is a must
