This will be a multi-faceted role where you will be exposed out on-site and in the office ensuring projects are being delivered on time and within budget. The role would ideally suit a candidate that has the ability to manage 4-5 projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

Other duties will include

– Planning and supervision of on-site project activities, including management of resources and subcontractor management

– Ensuring all project policies, procedures and standards are adhered to, including safety, environment and quality plans.

– Liaising with the project team to ensure effective communication and key deadlines and standards are met

– Preparing estimations and submissions for contract works


– Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or equivalent Sound contract administration, procurement and subcontracting principles

– Extensive understanding of construction, laws, standards and practices across land development projects

– Comprehensive knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental standards & practices

– Sound experience and skills with project and financial management and in managing budgets.

The purpose of the position is to delivers high-level professional engineering services, providing authoritative advice to the Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme (MASS) Director and Service Managers on matters relating to the equipment standards, repairs, maintenance, purchase and disposal of MASS equipment. The Engineer is expected to provide clinical, product and protocol/process expertise predominantly in the area of Equipment Services for MASS statewide services.

Key Accountabilities include:

Clinical Practice

– Deliver high level professional rehabilitation engineering services within MASS, providing specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders.
– Apply specialist engineering knowledge and principles of evidence based practice in providing professional judgement to varied and complex problems related to the assessment, prescription, customisation, procurement and life-cycle management of medical aids/equipment.
– Facilitate the reallocation, general modification and adjustment of MASS stock equipment, supporting the MASS strategic function of prompt and cost effective service delivery to MASS client base.
– Provide direction and advice on the impact of engineering factors on client outcomes to health practitioners over a range of disciplines statewide, including the provision and facilitation of education, research and undertaking projects in accordance with MASS goals.

Communication / Team Participation

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing the development and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure on behalf of the Telco Authority. This role requires structural engineering expertise with a focus on providing direction and governance to internal and external stakeholders in structural design matters, and improving guidelines and compliance associated with telecommunications infrastructure.

The Structural Engineer is to take into account the legislative, technical and corporate requirements, focusing on providing sound analysis and advice, and undertaking tasks within the required timeframes.
